BigFix Foundation - BESFND101_20250721_NewYork Registration Closed

The goal of this instructor led course is to provide a well-rounded understanding of what BigFix is, how it works, what are the moving parts, how to administrate BigFix and how to be a successful user with BigFix. This is a four day class. At the end of the class, there is a test. There is no cost for this class.

Just to name few things in this four day class:

• This course will provide you the tools to install BigFix in a Windows or Linux environment.
• Review “What are the first steps after the install that are a “must” do.”
• How to enable your environment to know what sites computers should be subscribed to.
• How to create a software distribution package.
• How to patch an Windows, Linux endpoint.
• How to add custom reports to WebReports.

There will be many hours of hands on labs so that you can reinforce what you are learning.

Class size will be limited to 20 students.

This class will use Sametime as the presentation layer and Skytap as the hands on portion. You will need internet access via the standard ports: 80/443.

Access to the Web meeting and labs will come to you from skytap-portal.com. Make sure you check your SPAM folder if you don't see it. The email skytap-portal.com sends out will contain your login credentials to the labs, the lab guide, and the link to the Web meeting. This typically comes out one week prior to the start of the class.
